Russian military forces have recently conducted attacks on residential buildings across various regions of Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Odesa, and Zhytomyr. According to local authorities, one of the buildings struck was severely damaged from the seventh to the tenth floor.
The attacks continued with strikes on neighboring apartment buildings, highlighting that the Russian military is intentionally targeting residential areas. Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that there are people trapped under the rubble, and rescue operations have commenced. As of 7:44 AM, 12 individuals were reported injured, with two confirmed fatalities by 7:51 AM.
Local news channels, including “Kharkiv Life,” shared videos from the scene showcasing the destruction caused by a Russian drone strike on one of the buildings. Preliminary reports suggest that a drone named “Banderol” impacted one of the structures.
In Odesa, Governor Oleg Kiper reported a night of combined bombardments that resulted in extensive damage to infrastructure and residential properties. The attacks involved multiple rockets and drones, with Odesa experiencing the highest level of destruction. Several residential buildings were partially or completely devastated, and eight individuals sustained injuries.
Governor Vitaliy Bunechko of Zhytomyr also communicated that strikes caused damage to civilian infrastructure and private property, including a residential home. Initial reports indicated that three people were injured, with one hospitalized due to burns and two suffering from acute stress reactions.
The Ukrainian Air Force stated that Odesa was the main focus of the nighttime assaults, with Russian forces deploying ballistic, anti-ship, and anti-radar missiles including the “Iskander-M” and “S-400,” along with at least 202 drones of various types. Reports confirm missile and drone strikes at 22 locations, with debris falling at six sites. Efforts to assess the impact of downed enemy missiles are ongoing.
