Fans Confuse Wedding of Couple for Cristiano Ronaldo’s Ceremony

Thousands of Cristiano Ronaldo fans flocked to what they believed was the wedding of the Portuguese star and his fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez, but were instead met with an unexpected surprise.
Rumors had circulated in recent days about a potential wedding between Ronaldo and Georgina in Portugal, leading over 2,000 fans to gather outside a cathedral in Madeira, convinced that the couple would make an appearance.
To their astonishment, the actual bride and groom were Fabio Ramos and Fatima Nicole Cunha Teixeira, not the football superstar. Many supporters, clad in Ronaldo’s iconic number 7 jerseys, packed the square, eagerly awaiting what they thought would be a high-profile wedding.
As the crowd awaited, the true couple’s family and friends faced difficulty navigating through the throngs of fans who were there to see Ronaldo.
“Fabio is not Cristiano Ronaldo. This whole situation is crazy. We never expected anything like this. I don’t think he will forget his wedding day,” a relative of the groom remarked, according to The Sun.
The atmosphere heightened when a gray Rolls-Royce arrived to transport Fatima to the ceremony. Fans quickly surrounded the luxury vehicle, convinced that the woman inside was Georgina Rodriguez.
Ultimately, Fatima’s bridesmaids cleared a path through the crowd, allowing the bride to enter the cathedral. The officiating priest noted that he did not believe Ronaldo had booked the venue for a wedding in the near future.
Cristiano and Georgina met while she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid, and they became engaged in August of the previous year. Recent speculations suggest Ronaldo may desire to host their wedding before the new season begins in Saudi Arabia.
