Farul Defeats FCSB with Quick Strike from Iustin Doicaru

Farul opened the scoring in Bucharest at the “Arcul de Triumf” on Monday evening during their match against FCSB, the last game of round three in the regular season. It took the “marinarii” just 21 minutes to break through against Matei Popa, the new starting goalkeeper for the red and blues, with the goal coming from young striker Iustin Doicaru, aged 19.
FCSB had hoped the match against Farul would offer some relief following their humiliating double elimination from Europe, but they were unable to capitalize, suffering another defeat. Following a string of mistakes, Matei Popa was placed in goal instead of Ștefan Târnovanu, who was sidelined due to errors, but he was unable to stop a lethal counterattack from the visitors.
The sequence began with a well-executed play by Farul, highlighting the defensive weaknesses of the red and blues. On the counterattack from the left flank, Doicaru intercepted the ball from Dawa and then passed it to Radaslavescu. Radaslavescu returned the ball to Doicaru, who found the net, making it 1-0.
This goal marks Doicaru’s second of the season, following his earlier strike in the opening round against U Cluj, along with an assist in the victory over Corvinul.
