Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, has expressed confidence in the abilities of Ricardo Pădurariu, the left-back who has returned this summer after a loan spell at Corvinul. According to Becali, the staff provided positive feedback about the 19-year-old player.
Pădurariu is expected to be a primary option for the U21 rule in the upcoming season, as announced by the financial backer of the red and blue team.
Risto Radunovic, who has been the starting left-back for the last few years, is anticipated to participate in the Conference League qualifiers.

Becali remarked, “They say this left-back (referring to Ricardo Pădurariu) is really good. They say Tavi Popescu has never been better. We have a left-back who is very good; I honestly don’t even know where we got him or what his name is.”
Indeed, he was referring to Pădurariu, who is versatile and can also play as a right-back, indicating that he may be fielded in that position as well, as reported by digisport.ro.
Having grown up in the FCSB academy, Pădurariu has only played one match for the senior team. Last season, he was loaned to Corvinul, where he was instrumental in helping the team achieve promotion to the Superliga, under the guidance of coach Florin Maxim.
During his time at Corvinul, Ricardo Pădurariu played 33 matches.
FCSB Welcomes New Full-Backs for the Season
Pădurariu is one of the new additions to the FCSB squad compared to last season. Another newcomer is Ronny Labonne, the only confirmed transfer so far, who was acquired from Caen.
Additionally, FCSB has reached an agreement with Eddy Gnahore, a midfielder who left Dinamo as a free agent this summer. The French player is set to undergo a medical examination, and if successful, he will sign with the red and blue team.
FCSB is also looking to secure a central defender before the transfer window closes. Florinel Coman and Denis Drăguș are among Becali’s top targets, but both international players are currently waiting for offers from abroad.
