Orlen Launches Major Renewable Energy Project in Poland

Orlen has officially launched the Kleczew Solar & Wind farm, marking it as the largest photovoltaic installation in its portfolio and one of the most significant renewable energy investments in Central and Eastern Europe. During the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized that the advancement of renewable energy sources strengthens the country’s energy security and that such projects are designed to benefit both Poland and the surrounding region.
Prime Minister Tusk highlighted the importance of such projects for the national energy transformation. He stated, “These types of investments demonstrate that Poland’s efforts towards building a renewable energy sector are yielding results. They are relatively inexpensive and allow us to fulfill our commitments to future generations by producing clean energy.”
He further added that the development of renewable energy sources should offer advantages not only for Poland but also for the region. “This is what is very important to us. It should benefit Poland and the region,” he noted.
Tusk also announced that next week, the location from which the first electricity from offshore wind farms will be generated will be revealed. “I am very pleased that this major project will also be launched in a few days,” he added.
