Four Dead in Russian Strikes on Sumy and Zaporizhzhia

In a series of nighttime assaults, the Russian military targeted residential infrastructure in the Ukrainian cities of Sumy and Zaporizhzhia. According to reports, at least four people were killed, including a minor, while over 20 others sustained injuries.
The attack in Sumy, which occurred around 5 PM, left multiple casualties. Initially reported were four injured individuals, but the toll rose with the tragic news of a woman’s death. Eyewitnesses described a scene with a residential building, a store, and a road in the attack’s epicenter, where many people were present, including children.
Among those hospitalized, half of the injuries are classified as severe, with reports of a 13-year-old girl in critical condition. Emergency services are actively transporting the injured to hospitals.
Later that evening, Zaporizhzhia faced its own assault, confirmed by regional governor Ivan Fedorov. One woman was injured, and there are concerns about individuals trapped under rubble, prompting urgent rescue efforts.
Emergency services have reported that two fatalities occurred in Zaporizhzhia due to the combined evening attacks, with an additional 20 injuries, including two children.
This marks the second strike on these areas in one evening, raising alarms about the safety and security of civilians amidst ongoing conflicts.
