A Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet crashed overnight in the Poltava region of central Ukraine, according to officials in Kyiv.
The pilot successfully ejected and is currently receiving medical treatment, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
The incident occurred during a combat mission overnight, although the exact cause of the crash remains unclear.
Notably, the MiG-29’s crash coincided with the reported launch of over 100 Russian drones targeting Ukraine, which employs aircraft to intercept unmanned aerial vehicles.
