Alexandru Cîmpanu Scores Decisive Goal for Chongqing Tonglianglong in China

Alexandru Cîmpanu, a 25-year-old footballer on loan from FC Botoșani, scored the only goal in Chongqing Tonglianglong’s 1-0 victory against Tianjin Jinmen Tiger during the 16th round of the Chinese Super League.
Following this goal, Cîmpanu has now recorded nine decisive contributions for his new team.

Cîmpanu started the match on Saturday as a titular player. The first half ended in a stalemate, with a score of 0-0. Shortly after the second half began, in the 49th minute, Cîmpanu received an excellent pass from the left flank while positioned near the edge of the penalty area. He quickly fired a powerful low shot past the goalkeeper.
Following his goal, he celebrated in front of the fans alongside his teammates.
Cîmpanu was substituted out in the 66th minute after scoring the decisive goal. This was the only goal of the match, leading Chongqing Tonglianglong to their second consecutive victory.
With this win, Chongqing Tonglianglong is currently in second place in the league, accumulating 27 points from 16 matches, and trailing the leader, Chengdu Rongcheng, by 13 points.
Cîmpanu’s market value is estimated at €1,000,000 according to transfermarkt.com. He joined the Chinese side this winter for a fee of €50,000, with FC Botoșani potentially earning an additional €250,000 next summer if the Chinese club activates the purchase option.
In his 15 appearances for Chongqing Tonglianglong, Cîmpanu has scored five goals and provided four assists.
