In their opening match, Norway triumphed over Iraq with a score of 4-1, aided by Haaland, who played a key role in the first two goals. Meanwhile, Senegal suffered a loss against France, ending 3-1, despite putting up a strong defense against Didier Deschamps’ formidable offense. A win for Norway would secure their spot in the knockout stage, making their final group match against France less critical.

“I am not afraid of anything tomorrow, but I have great respect for Senegal. They are quick, have a quality team, and we need to be prepared to face that, to defend against their wings and be careful of counterattacks. Sadio Mane is an exceptional player, but the most important thing for me is to maintain our identity and do what we do best,” said Stale Solbakken.

“Will I change things? We will see tomorrow. We are in a very tough group, we knew that coming in. We lost the first match, but we still have things to play for. We cannot afford to mess up this one. Yes, there is Haaland, but it’s not just about him. On his own, he can do nothing. He needs teammates, so it’s not only about stopping Haaland. It depends solely on us,” commented Pape Thiaw.
