Naval mission in the Strait of Hormuz. Macron reveals the plans of France and allies

In an interview with French television station TF1, Macron said the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle could be sent “within two to three days” to patrol the strait, after “confirmation” of the agreement between Washington and Tehran.
“We are ready… tomorrow we can have fighters for surveillance missions, a frigate in the area, and within two or three days the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle with mine-clearing equipment and everything that comes with it,” he announced.
France and Britain are leading efforts to mount a mission to secure the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway for global oil and gas supplies, once the fighting subsides.
— We have created a mission together with the British, in which several countries participate, we are ready to act very quickly — Macron said on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, where leaders gathered on Monday for three days of talks.
Agreement with Iran. Macron: we must be vigilant
The President of France stated that Countries must remain “vigilant” and that much depends on talks with Iran and the United States.
— We defend international law and will do everything in our power to ensure that no fees are introduced in this waterway, he added.
Earlier on Monday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the Iran deal “an extremely important moment” and said Britain and France could “play their part” in helping ships sail through the strait. However, Starmer did not provide a timetable for the deployment of the mission.
