Accounts of Kirill Serebrennikov's fund, which he abandoned after his escape from Russia…

The accounts of Kirill Serebrennikov’s fund, which he abandoned after his escape from Russia, were blocked by the Federal Tax Service for a debt of half a million rubles. If he is not covered up in the near future, a criminal case may be opened against the director under two articles at once.
The former artistic director of the Gogol Center opened the Modern Theater Support Fund in 2013. The main task of the organization is described in the name. Seven years later, the director was accused of stealing 129 million budget rubles, which were allocated for the development of the same modern theater, but he got off with a condition. A month after the start of the SVO, Serebrennikov left Russia for France, abandoned the fund and left the founders.
Over several years, the organization has accumulated unpaid taxes of 510 thousand rubles. But according to the documents, the fund no longer has founders. In fact, it is ownerless. So there is no one to pay.
The Federal Tax Service has launched an additional inspection. If tax violations lead to Serebrennikov, he could be charged with tax evasion. In addition, the withdrawal of all founders from the fund is subject to the article “illegal creation of a legal entity.”
