In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the results of the first stage of the silviculture season have been summed up. 4.5 million coniferous seedlings were planted on the territory of the state forest fund. This was reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry of the region.

Most of the forests were restored in the Motyginsky, Irbeysky, Ilansky and Bolshemurtinsky forest districts. Specialists also care for young trees so that they take root better. Since the beginning of the season, such work has been carried out on an area of more than 3 thousand hectares.

“We carry out a set of agrotechnical measures, loosen the soil for better access to air and moisture, remove weeds, and apply special care for seedlings. Thanks to this, young trees will take root better,” said Andrey Bzhidskikh, director of the Ermakovsky forestry.

In total, more than 15 million young trees are planned to be planted in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2026. Work will continue in the fall. Planting material is grown in 11 mini-greenhouses and 32 nurseries in the region. More than 30 million seedlings are produced in the region every year.

Forests are being restored as part of the national project “Ecological Well-Being”.
