Drones killed Russians without human involvement. The first such mission in Ukraine

Details of the operation are provided by Aleksander Kochanowski, a figure operating in the Ukrainian defense industry, who spoke to the “New Scientist” website. According to Kochanowski the test was carried out with the participation of 10 kamikaze drones using artificial intelligence algorithmswhich were designed in such a way as to go to a specific section of the front and independently search for targets and carry out an attack on Russian forces without human intervention.
“All we had to do was shoot them and we knew that nothing found in that area would survive. We had no connection with the drone, no video preview, just nothing, says Kochanowski.
According to him, the test was part of a counterattack by Ukrainian forces in the area of the town of Bakhmut, and since the drones had no connection with the base, normal drones were then sent to the test area, which found two dead Russians and a destroyed aggressor's vehicle. Based on the injuries suffered, it was concluded that the soldiers were killed by autonomous drones.
Kochanowski also claims that it was the only test of this type in the war with Russia.
Ukrainian kamikaze drones currently operating on the front have a certain degree of autonomy. They are capable of finding and targeting targets on their own, but in the final phase of the flight, just before hitting the enemy, the final decision to attack and the strike itself is made by a human drone operator connected to it wirelessly or via optical fiber.
