Crypto-assets Act with comments from Zondacrypto? The minister denies

The media reported on Friday that the Ministry of Finance received comments from the Polish Bank Association (ZBP) on the act on cryptoassets, written by Przemysław Kral, president of Zondacrypto. The matter was addressed on the 10th by the Minister of Finance and Economy, Andrzej Domański, who emphasized that none of the amendments submitted by the Polish Bank Association were included in the act adopted by the government.
“Referring to media reports, the Ministry of Finance declares that none of the amendments to the Act on the Crypto-Assets Market, which, according to media findings, were submitted by the Polish Bank Association and which, according to the press, were to be consulted with Zondacrypto, were included in the final version of the Act on the Crypto-Assets Market adopted by the government,” reads the Ministry of Finance in a statement on Friday.
On Thursday, President Karol Nawrocki vetoed for the third time a government bill that was supposed to regulate the crypto-asset market. These provisions designated the Polish Financial Supervision Authority as the supervisory authority for this market and authorized it, among others, to: to impose sanctions on entities operating there.
The two previous acts also received a negative assessment from the president, who argued that they were over-regulation and could push Polish companies out of the industry abroad.
The vetoed act differed from the previous ones in one amendment from the president's office, according to which the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, in cooperation with the Minister of Finance, would prepare and publish annual reports on the functioning of the crypto-asset market in the Public Information Bulletin.

The purpose of the act is to ensure the application of the EU MiCA regulation (The Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation), which regulates the crypto-assets market.
After the president's veto, Minister Domański announced the preparation of another project regulating the cryptocurrency market.
