Russians began to buy kokoshniks more often before Russia Day

Before Russia Day, sales of kokoshniks increased. TASS reports this with reference to the press service of the Ozon marketplace.

From June 1 to June 9, 2026, sales of kokoshniks on the site increased 4 times compared to the same period last year. Ozon noted that it was kokoshniks that showed the fastest dynamics among holiday goods.

Russians were also more active in purchasing other goods for Russia Day. Demand for tricolor balloons, posters and T-shirts increased 1.8 times. Sales of Russian flags increased 1.6 times.

Russia Day is celebrated on June 12. This year the holiday fell on Friday.
