Offer from Eugen Tomac for mayor Ciprian Ciucu, in his government, made live on TV

Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac declared, on B1 TV, that no name from the list announced by the ministers is irreplaceable, being willing to take into account proposals from the parties. He even proposed to PNL first vice-president Ciprian Ciucu to take over the Ministry of Development.
Eugen Tomac launched the offer by answering some questions related to the fact that PSD-approved persons are proposed as ministers in his cabinet.
“An announcement for the first time and I hope that Mr. Ionaș will not be upset. I would be very happy for Mr. Mayor General Ciucu to come to the government, to come to the Ministry of Development. We can work together. I think that his lordship's experience is very good and I am issuing this invitation,” said Tomac.
To the observation that Ciucu's presence in the government would mean giving up the principle according to which ministers must have no political affiliation, Tomac replied:
“I'm willing to make any necessary compromise to get out of this situation we're in, because I think that's what politicians have to do at the moment, to show a lot of responsibility, because we have no other solution.”
Ciprian Ciucu's answer
It only took a few tens of minutes until the liberal responded to Tomac's offer.
“Thank you for your trust, Mr. Tomac, but I have already won, in an electoral battle, after many years of work, the last political/administrative position that I would ever want in this world. I am still at the beginning and I have to prove that I deserved the trust of the people of Bucharest”, wrote Ciprian Ciucu, in a message published on his Facebook page.
Tomac is willing to replace any name on the list
Also in the show on B1 TV, Eugen Tomac said that no party has yet refused the proposal to support his cabinet. He has shown himself open to receiving proposals for ministerial positions, if there are valid objections to those advanced by him.
“No person proposed by me is irreplaceable. I am open to a compromise, to come and propose the parties if they have a better name,” said the designated prime minister.
Tomac also stated that the government program he assumes will be sent to the parties on Thursday. He indicated that part of it refers to constraints related to compliance with commitments in PNRR and SAFE.
Asked if Ionuț Mașala, the proposal for the position of Minister of Transport, was made by the PSD, Tomac denied.
“It was not proposed by the PSD, I was looking for a specialist from the inside who has the necessary experience to manage a mammoth ministry. I didn't know him, but he was recommended to me by a specialist in the area of transport”, said Tomac referring to Mașala who is now the economic deputy general director of the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR).
When asked if there is a possibility of reaching early elections, if his government does not get the confidence vote of the Parliament, Eugen Tomac answered: “The context forces us to be rational towards the Romanian citizens. The economy is not going through the happiest moments, the world is not going through the most peaceful moments and to waste hundreds of millions of euros on elections is a wrong thing.”
