Tomac stated on B1TV that he would like Ciprian Ciucu to take over the leadership of the Ministry of Development, appreciating his experience in public administration and suggesting that he could contribute to unblocking the current political situation.
“An announcement for the first time and I hope that Mr. Ionaș will not be upset. I would be very happy for Mr. Mayor General Ciucu to come to the government, to come to the Ministry of Development. We can work together. I think that his lordship's experience is very good and I am issuing this invitation, taking advantage of your question”declared Eugen Tomac live.
In his opinion, the political scene is going through a moment of deadlock that requires compromises and openness on the part of political actors.
“It seems important that we all make an effort today, tomorrow, then tomorrow to get out of the deadlock we are in. And we need a policy that meant bringing in people with party cards. (…) I am willing to make any necessary compromise to get out of this situation we are in, because I think that is what politicians must do at the moment, show a lot of responsibility, because we have no other solution”. he also said.
Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac reacted to the wave of speculations appearing in the public space according to which the list of the future Government would have been established “in the forest”, with influences from the services area.
Asked in a B1 TV show how he comments on these accusations, Tomac categorically rejected the idea and replied ironically: “I don't practice this sport”.
“I only go to the forest on weekends and when I have time with my children, so I don't practice this sport in any form”, he declared on B1 TV.
The prime minister-designate also spoke about the process of forming the government team, stating that he is willing to negotiate with the parties involved until the last moment.
“I wish to go to Victoria Palace with the team that I have proposed, but until the day of the submission of the program of government and the team, I am willing to talk to the parties at any time and, where there are well-justified demands, to consider them. Hinting or innuendo is not enough.” Tomac also said.
“No person proposed by me is irreplaceable“, declared the designated prime minister, claiming that he is willing to accept changes in the structure of the future government.
