A serious incident occurred before Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs. Six people were injured in a knife attack near Madison Square Garden.

The incident took place on Sunday evening, around 19:00, on platforms 5 and 6 of Penn Station, one of the busiest stations in the United States, located right under Madison Square Garden, according to sportal.blic.rs.

According to information provided by emergency services in New York, five of the victims received medical attention at the scene before being transported to the hospital.

One person was seriously injured, two others suffered moderate injuries and two suffered minor injuries.

Five of the victims were transported to Bellevue Hospital, while the sixth was taken to another medical facility. So far, authorities have not released any information about his health.

Authorities quickly intervened in the area and opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the attack. For now, the police have not provided additional details about the perpetrator or the reasons behind the incident.
