Most Russians are relaxed about a probationary period at work

The majority of economically active Russians are calm or understanding about the probationary period when applying for a job. This was reported by the SuperJob research center.
43% of respondents perceive the probationary period calmly. Another 37% view it with understanding. 15% of respondents expressed a negative attitude towards this practice. Men and women rate the trial period almost equally. 81% of men and 80% of women expressed calmness or understanding. The share of negative assessments in both groups was 15%.
Most often, Russians aged 35 to 45 do not like probation. Among them, 18% have a negative attitude towards him. Also, holders of secondary vocational education express dissatisfaction more often. Among them, 17% showed a negative attitude, and 13% among university graduates. Russians who have already had to get a job with a probationary period perceive it more calmly. Among them, 44% are calm about this practice. Among those who did not have such experience, the figure was 38%.
The survey took place from May 25 to June 2, 2026. The survey involved 1,600 economically active citizens from all districts of the country.
