The winner of Survivor Romania 2026: Gabi Tamaș won the grand prize of the show in the Dominican Republic

Former footballer Gabriel Tamaș is the winner of this season's edition of the show Survivor Romania, a show filmed in the Dominican Republic.

In the grand final Survivor Romania 2026, broadcast on Sunday evening, the public vote decided who deserves the trophy and the grand prize of 100,000 euros.

And, among the two contestants who faced each other in the last stage of this televised competition, the public chose Gabi Tamaș as the winner.

Gabi Tamaș and Lucian Popa remained the finalists of the last edition of the show Survivor Romania 2026, after the end of all the tests in the competition.

In the last act, however, it was no longer strength or strategy that mattered, but the public's vote. Thus, the big winner was decided by the viewers, in the most emotional moment of the season.

After becoming finalists, Gabi Tamaș and Lucian Popa each spoke about their experience at Survivor Romania 2026. Gabi Tamaș said that he felt fulfilled that he had completed a difficult course, and Lucian Popa confessed that he was excited and satisfied with his own evolution. Both competitors say that they went through an experience that changed them, reports A1.ro.

Four contestants faced off in the Survivor grand finale

Four contestants competed in the grand final Survivor Romania, broadcast on Sunday evening on Antena 1.

After 22 weeks of competition, only four contestants remained in the grand final: former footballer Gabi Tamaș, Lucian Popa, Patricia Vizitiu and Ramona Micu.

Two former Famers and two former Warriors – the four had grueling games, at the end of which it was established which final two contestants would reach the public vote.

This year's edition of the show had 31 contestants at the start.
