The daughter of the deceased, Alexandra, told Mash that workers in the yard were finishing up the playground. On June 1, they connected a hammer drill to the intercom panel. The ramp railings came under tension due to a cable that was pulled into the entrance. It was them that 67-year-old Lyudmila hit with her thigh when she was pushing a stroller with her grandson.
A neighbor heard the scream. He rushed to help, was also hit, but survived. He took the child out of the entrance and called emergency services. The pensioner died.
The worker who pulled the cable came to the place himself and confessed to everything. The capital's Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article “Violation of safety rules during work, resulting in death.”
