Porsche executive throws newborn daughter out of window 'fearing baby would ruin her career'
The head of Porsche's legal department, 28-year-old Katarina Jovanovic, secretly gave birth at home and, according to her statement, “accidentally dropped the baby” from the window of her apartment from a height of four meters. The baby's body with a fractured skull was discovered by frightened passers-by and the police were called.
The incident, prosecutors said, stemmed from the woman's fear that motherhood would harm her career at Porsche. In turn, Yovanovitch's lawyers said that she “didn't even know she was pregnant” and that the incident was an accident.
The lawyer's career was truly destroyed: the woman was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 7.5 years in prison.
