The Perm theater “U Mosta” received a standing ovation on tour in Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsk, from June 4 to 6, the Perm theater “U Mosta”, a three-time winner and nominee of the national theater award “Golden Mask”, is on tour.
On June 4, the artists performed on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Drama Theater named after A. S. Pushkin with the play “Tevye the Milkman” based on the cycle of stories by Sholom Aleichem. At the center of the story is the milkman Tevye, through whose fate the history of an entire people is revealed. The performance combines dramatic events with subtle Jewish humor, and is also filled with national songs and dances.
The next day, guests from Perm captivated the Krasnoyarsk audience with the play “The Irish Hero – the Pride of the West” based on the play by John Synge. The action takes place in the Aran Islands at the beginning of the 20th century. After rumors about the murder of his own father, the main character unexpectedly becomes a local celebrity. However, it soon turns out that his father is alive, and the story takes an unexpected turn.
The bright acting, the combination of Irish humor, absurdity and drama did not leave the audience indifferent. The performance ended with a long standing ovation.
Deafening applause
The tour of the U Mosta Theater will end with the play “Samanishvili’s Stepmother” based on the play by Vladimir Konstantinov and Boris Ratzer. Today, June 6, the artists will again appear on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Drama Theater named after A. S. Pushkin.
A good Georgian comedy about the life of a small village in Imereti, where all the residents live as one big family, will be the final chord of the tour program. Viewers can expect subtle humor, Caucasian flavor and a touching story about love that can work real miracles.
