In 60 years, the climate in Moscow will resemble the weather conditions of present-day Krasnodar, and residents of Murmansk will have to get used to the climate of St. Petersburg.
Researchers say temperatures are slowly drifting towards the equator. For clarity, ecologists from the University of Maryland have compiled a map of warming in the world's cities.
At the same time, the worst situation will be in areas close to the equator – there the heat can become completely unbearable.
By the end of the century, cities in the northern hemisphere will look much more like those in the southern hemisphere. Everything is moving towards the equator.
