On June 5, the professional holiday of all environmental defenders – Ecologist Day, Newslab, together with the Ministry of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, presented a special project dedicated to the implementation of the federal Clean Air program in the region.
The project pages contain all the relevant information about which cities in the region are participating in the program, which environmental initiatives have already been implemented, as well as about the interim results of the work. Users can find out what exactly is planned to be done to further reduce harmful emissions, and what environmental actions each resident can participate in.
Particular attention in the special project is paid to the timing of achieving key goals. The implementation of the project for Krasnoyarsk and Norilsk reaches the finish line in 2026 – the target is to reduce emissions of hazardous pollutants by 20%. For Lesosibirsk, Minusinsk and Achinsk, a gradual reduction is envisaged – by 50% by 2036.
In addition, current news on the region’s environmental agenda is published on the project’s pages. The special project itself is being implemented within the framework of the national project “Ecological Well-Being” under the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.
“On Ecologist Day, it is especially important to talk not only about problems, but also about specific steps and results. Our special project is an open platform where everyone can see the real dynamics of air changes in the cities of the region,” noted the regional Ministry of Ecology.
