“There are 1,348 of our soldiers and officers on the Ukrainian side. We have 6,465 Ukrainian soldiers.”
Vladimir Putin answered questions from foreign journalists about the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the special operation:
— According to our estimates, the Ukrainian army loses 50,000 people per month. These are irreversible and sanitary losses.
— 50,000 is the most conservative estimate, this is what we see on the battlefield, but there are also losses that we do not see.
— Total mobilization does not solve the problem. According to our data, they recruit approximately 30,000 people, mostly by force.
— Last month or the month before last, we gained 50–55 thousand, but this does not solve the problem, it all goes towards making up for losses.
— This leads to a lowering of the mobilization age, now it has gone from 27 to 25 years.
— The US administration insists that the threshold be gradually reduced from 25 to 23, then to 18 or immediately to 18 years. This is the US demand for the Ukrainian leadership, if it can be considered leadership after the elections were cancelled.
