Adrian Newey (67), the principal of the Aston Martin team, will be present at the Monaco Grand Prix, after a 3-month break. The race will take place on Sunday, June 7, starting at 16:00, live on Antena 1 and AntenaPLAY.

Aston Martin principal Mike Krack has hinted that team principal Adrian Newey will be present this weekend in Monaco, ending a 3-month layoff. He was at the first race of the year, in Australia, where Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, both Aston Martin drivers, had problems, forcing the Spaniard to retire.

Newey was absent from the next 4 races, with rumors of a spell in hospital due to illness. However, the legendary engineer is close to returning to the team, as Krack hinted.

You will see. I think we'll see him this weekend, so that's good. It's good because he has a lot of experience here. Many races won here so I definitely believe his advice can take us further. We can't wait,” said Krack, quoted by motorsportweek.com.

At the moment, Stroll and Alonso occupy the last two places in the driver's standings. Stroll had to retire twice, and once he finished the race but was not classified. On the other hand, Alonso retired three times.

Before arriving at Aston Martin, Adrian Newey worked for a long time for Red Bull Racing, being considered one of the best engineers in the history of Formula 1. The cars he designed won 14 drivers' titles and 12 constructors' titles. Also, between 1991 and 2024, his cars won 223 races.
