Sabrina Voinea, violent conflict because of an outing! The President of the FRG reacts harshly: “We do not tolerate this!”

The tensions between the two young athletes exploded when Şerban Cotîrlan allegedly refused to go out in the city, in the evening, with Sabrina Voinea.

Ioan Suciuthe president of the Romanian Gymnastics Federation (FRG), vehemently condemned the athlete's behavior and announced that the forum he leads will carefully monitor the investigation.

“We do not tolerate such behavior that goes against the values of sport and the principles of respect that we promote. We understand that notifications have been made to the competent authorities and we are waiting for more details.

Currently, Sabrina Voinea is under contract with CSM Constanța and is training in the hall at Lia Manoliu, with the agreement of ANS”, said Suciu, according to the previously cited source.

Although the officials of the complex confirmed that they are aware of this incident, Florin Oancea, the director of “Lia Manoliu”, wanted to specify that the altercation did not occur in the accommodation or training spaces under the direct administration of the institution and that an official information will be sent to the National Sports Agency (ANS).

Regarding the incident between Sabrina and Serban, I became aware of its existence, but I specify that no employee of our institution witnessed its unfolding.

I also note that the incident did not take place in our accommodation, nor in the training room under our management.

For additional information, I recommend that you contact the people involved directly, as I do not have any other relevant details. At the same time, I will send an information to the National Sports Agency. We have received no requests, up to this point, from the Police for the video recordings.

Recurrence for Sabrina Voinea: she fought with a weightlifter just two months ago!

This new violent episode is not a first for Sabrina Voinea.

Just two months ago, at the end of March, the athlete was the protagonist of another scandal of great proportions right in the restaurant of the “Lia Manoliu” complex.

Then a verbal altercation between her and a member of the national weightlifting team quickly degenerated, with the two pulling hair and punching each other under the dismayed gaze of those present.

A past marked by controversy and trauma

Sabrina Voinea's career is followed by constant tensions. Last year, after the World Championships, former gymnast Denisa Golgotă launched subtle accusations against her, suggesting that Sabrina would enjoy preferential treatment within the national team.

Moreover, public opinion has been scandalized in the past by the appearance of footage from Sabrina's childhood training sessions. In those images, the athlete was subjected to insults difficult to reproduce by her own mother and trainer, Camelia Voinea.

While the little girl was crying and screaming in pain asking for the exercises to be stopped, extremely harsh lines like “Go to hell” or “What can I do to you if you're stupid?!” could be heard in the background.
