After the team's return to the Superliga, Florin Pîrvu said: “I also told the president that my project is for the Volunteers to return to the first league. They happened to be relegated. I had a moral duty towards this team to promote it myself. Yesterday (Monday, June 1) it was two years since my wife passed away, but she was always by my side. I always hold in my hand a very sacred thing for me. I thank them everyone for the support”.

The announcement that Pîrvu will continue at FC Voluntari was made on social networks by the Ilfov group: “FC Voluntari and head coach Florin Pîrvu have reached an agreement to extend their collaboration for the next two seasons. After the team's return to the Romanian SuperLiga, Florin Pîrvu will continue to lead the technical bench of our club in the following seasons as well, with the common goal being consolidation and performance at the highest level. Good luck, Mister!”.

He played for Petrolul, Dinamo and Craiova

Born on April 2, 1975, Pîrvu is a former defensive midfielder, who played in his career at Petrolul Ploiesti (1995/1996, 1998-2000, 2007/2008), Henan Jianye (1996-1998, 2002/2003), Dinamo (2000-2002), FC Braşov (2003/2004), Craiova University (2004/2005), Stal Alcevsk (2005/2006), AEL Limassol (2006/2007), CS Otopeni (2008-2010), Chimia Brazi (2010/2011) and CS Turnu Severin (2011). He also has two selections for the national football team in the period 2000-2002.
