FC Voluntari solved one of the priorities of the summer immediately after returning to the first echelon. The Ilfovean club officially announced the extension of the contract of coach Florin Pîrvu, the man who brought the team back to the Super League.
Voluntari achieved promotion after the dramatic tie with Hermannstadt. Ilfoven lost the first leg, 2-3, but turned the situation around in the return game and won 3-0, for a 5-3 overall.

A few days after the promotion, club officials confirmed that Florin Pîrvu will continue on the technical bench. In a message published on social networks, Voluntari said:

FC Voluntari and head coach Florin Pîrvu have reached an agreement to extend the collaboration for the next two seasons.
After the team's return to the Romanian SuperLiga, Florin Pîrvu will continue to lead the technical bench of our club in the following seasons as well, with the common objective being consolidation and performance at the highest level.

The story of Florin Pîrvu's return to the Volunteers
The current coach of Ilfoven took over the team for the first time in March 2024, after the departure of Nicolae Dică. His mission was to save from relegation, but FC Voluntari then left the Superliga after nine consecutive seasons spent on the first stage of Romanian football.
The period was extremely difficult for the technician and from a personal point of view. At the end of May 2024, his wife passed away and the coach went through one of the hardest moments of his life.
After leaving the club, Florin Pîrvu returned to Voluntari in April 2025, when the management entrusted him with the goal of returning the team to the Superliga. Under the command of Pîrvu, Voluntari reached the promotion barrier, where they eliminated Hermannstadt.
The moment had a special emotional charge for the technician. The promotion was achieved just two years after the disappearance of his wife, and the coach could not control his emotions at the end of the decisive game.
