Zelensky is expected to join the leaders of states and governments of France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States at the G7 summit in Évian-les-Bains.

One official indicated that the Ukrainian leader plans to discuss war diplomacy and air defense to counter Russia's ballistic attacks. In March, an adviser to the French president said that Zelensky was not invited to the June 15-17 summit.
A spokesman for the French president, who is organizing the G7 summit, did not respond to Politico's request for comment on the matter.
