As reported, the labor collective of SE “Ryhalske” publicly appealed to the authorities and law enforcement agencies with a statement about the large-scale destruction of the enterprise under the guise of privatization. Workers accuse the head of Zhytomyr OVA Vitaly Bunechka and the new management of the enterprise in coordinating the processes.
According to the staff, after the appointment of Vyacheslav Gerasimenko as a director, the company began selling off its assets. It is claimed that the dairy herd was destroyed, the damage from which is estimated at 45 million UAH, and about 12 thousand tons of corn worth more than 136 million UAH were exported.
Separately, the workers claim the illegal expropriation of 733 hectares of land, where the equipment of Akris-Group LLC entered, due to which people were effectively deprived of the right to land shares.
The statement also mentions forceful pressure and armed men in military uniforms without identification marks, who, according to the villagers, beat workers, blocked equipment and opened fire. The collective calls 800 hectares of forest near the border with Belarus the main goal of the scheme, the value of which can reach about 40 million dollars.
In addition, the workers stated that they learned about their dismissal only from the police, although, according to them, they were allegedly officially dismissed on April 1 without notice and without pay. It is also reported that more than ten criminal proceedings have been opened against director Vyacheslav Gerasimenko.
