64 kg of food was confiscated and burned from passengers at Krasnoyarsk airport

More than 64 kg of livestock products were seized from passengers on international flights at Krasnoyarsk airport. This was reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

From May 1 to May 31, department specialists monitored 261 international flights at the state border checkpoint. Dairy, meat, fish products and honey were confiscated from passengers' hand luggage and luggage. They were imported from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in violation of veterinary and sanitary requirements.

The products were recognized as dangerous from a veterinary point of view. It was destroyed by burning it in a specially equipped oven on the territory of the airport checkpoint. 54 citizens were brought to administrative responsibility for violating the requirements of veterinary legislation of Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Also in May, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists processed the removal of 10 domestic animals. 5 dogs and 5 cats went abroad with their owners. Animals were exported to Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Thailand and Ecuador.

In addition, a batch of ornamental birds from Kyrgyzstan passed through veterinary control. 1,505 budgerigars, cockatiels and ring-necked parrots were brought into the region.
