The most senseless theft of the century happened in Moscow. They stole 146 packs of free newspapers, which are placed in mailboxes in the entrances of the capital.
Victims of a brutal crime are the weekly “Evening Moscow”, “North of the Capital” and “Municipal Newspaper”. An unknown person sneaked into the storage facility under cover of darkness and stole 220 kilograms of periodicals.
In the morning the loss was discovered. Detectives were called. Police found no signs of a break-in. The padlock was taken for examination. They took fingerprints, examined pieces of fabric, traces of soles and set off on the criminal trail of reading matter.
They are looking for a newspaper fetishist among their own. Only four employees had access to the premises.
