Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov said at the international forum “Security Architecture” on June 1 that the aggressor country Russia did not stop its mobilization activities, but it was becoming increasingly difficult for it to attract people to the war. Yusov's statement on Telegram was published by RBC-Ukraine.
He noted that the Russian Federation is increasing its recruitment efforts among Russians and foreigners.
“Why do they need new people? It’s logical; losses need to be compensated. The scale of recruiting barely covers the losses on the battlefield,” said a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Yusov emphasized that these are additional challenges for the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin and the occupying army, and they are looking for a solution to this problem. Penalties alone cannot cover the shortage.
“This crisis is growing for Putin, and it is obvious that they will take additional measures,” he concluded.
