Over half a million children, parents and teachers learn financial literacy, AI and blockchain through Bitget and UNICEF partnership

More than half a million young people, parents and teachers in eight countries of the world learn financial and technological education through the project supported by Bitget, the world's largest universal exchange platform, and UNICEF. The program has reached more than 642,000 participants since launch, and the curriculum will include financial and AI education modules, as well as blockchain.

This is the second year of Bitget's partnership with UNICEF's Game Changers Coalition (GCC), an initiative coordinated by UNICEF's Office of Innovation that aims to expand access to technology education for youth in developing areas. The program is particularly focused on girls, representing 52% of participants.

The coalition operates in Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco and South Africa. Through the project's curriculum and gaming hackathons, young people are supported to acquire digital skills relevant to today's economy.

“Technology is becoming a part of everyday life faster than education systems can adapt. What stood out during our collaboration with UNICEF this year was how quickly young people engage once they are given access and opportunities”, said Gracy Chen, Bitget CEO.

The tools of the digital economy, increasingly in demand

The new phase of the partnership comes amid growing demand for digital skills, as young people use technology from an ever-younger age, but don't always have access to education about the tools that define the digital economy.

Financial literacy, AI and blockchain modules can contribute to a better understanding of emerging technologies and how they can be used responsibly.

“Too many young people are still excluded from the skills that are driving the digital transformation shaping today's economy. The GCC is a clear response to this need. The initiative brings together industry, governments and communities so that the next generation has the skills, confidence and opportunity to lead in a technology-driven economy. Together with Bitget, we are expanding to reach even more young people with the skills they need“, said Thomas Davin, Director of UNICEF's Office of Innovation.

Bitget has continued to expand its education initiatives in parallel with institutional and ecosystem development, and digital literacy is one of the core directions for the industry's long-term development.

Bitget joined the coalition in June 2025 by partnering with UNICEF Luxembourg as part of efforts to improve digital literacy and access to technology for underserved communities. In the second year of the partnership, Bitget will contribute to the development of the GCC curriculum and the geographic expansion of the initiative.
