In June, Krasnoyarsk residents will be able to see a mini-parade of planets and a strawberry full moon in the sky

The Reshetnev University Observatory has compiled a forecast for Krasnoyarsk residents of significant and spectacular astronomical events for the first month of summer.
So, on June 7, Venus will pass next to the star Pollux, both objects will be visible to the naked eye.
On June 9, Venus will approach Jupiter. And on June 10, the Moon, illuminated by 30%, will be close to Saturn; they can be observed in the morning in the east before sunrise.
One of the main events of the month will happen on June 12 – a small parade of three planets will decorate the evening sky. “After sunset, look towards the western horizon to see Mercury, Jupiter and Venus lined up diagonally. All three planets will be clearly visible to the naked eye and will be within a sector of the sky about 10° wide. Starting around June 17, a very thin crescent of the Moon will join this alignment, making the picture even more picturesque,” explained Sergei Veselkov, head of the Reshetnev University Observatory.
On June 15 at 09:54 Krasnoyarsk time there will be a new moon. And on June 21 at 15:25 – the summer solstice – the shortest night and the longest daylight hours of the year in the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth.
On June 30 at 06:56 Krasnoyarsk time there will be a full moon (micromoon). “The ancient Indian tribes called it strawberry because it was during this period that the ripe strawberry crop was harvested. Sometimes it is called the Full Moon of the Rose or Honey,” explained Sergei Veselkov.
