A policeman was fatally stabbed by his own son, on a street in Piatra-Neamţ

A 50-year-old man, a policeman at Permits and Registrations, was killed on Sunday evening, on a boulevard in the city of Piatra-Neamț. The author of the crime is his son, the Neamţ County Police Inspectorate informed in a statement.
The incident was reported around 20:59. According to IPJ Neamț, a “spontaneous conflict” broke out between the policeman and his son.
“Policemen from the Piatra-Neamt Municipality Police were alerted to the fact that, amid a spontaneous conflict, a 50-year-old man, a policeman in the Neamt SPCRPIV, while he was on Mihail Eminescu Boulevard, in the Piatra-Neamt Municipality, was stabbed with a knife by his 22-year-old son,” informed IPJ Neamt, in a press release quoted by Stiri Neamț.
A crew from the Neamţ County Ambulance Service came to the scene and declared the man dead, the police said.
The 22-year-old is in police custody.
The investigations in this case were taken over by a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Neamţ Court.
