The German national team scored against Finland, 4-0, in a friendly played on Sunday evening in Mainz.
It took the Germans more than half an hour to find the first breach in Finland's defense on Sunday night. After Undav opened the scoring from Kimmich's cross (min. 34), everything was easier.
Wirtz (min. 48), again Undav (min. 57) and Jamal Musiala (min. 63) set the final score. If this 4-0 was expected, the surprise was produced by the coach Julian Nagelsmann, after the final whistle.
The reserves of Germany also play against Finland!
He announced a new test with Finland, for today! The match will take place from 12:00, Romanian time, without spectators. And it will be a game specially reserved for second line players!
“I would call it a practice match. It won't be 90 minutes, but two halves of 20 or 25 minutes each. I will use it to give minutes to the reserves as well.
We have footballers in the squad who played their last official match two weeks ago. We are very happy that the Finns have agreed to participate and thus give us a helping hand,” revealed Nagelsmann.
MVP Lennart Karl, even without a goal: “I just love to play, I don't care about anything else”
Among Germany's best players on Sunday was Lennart Karl. Although he didn't score, Bayern's 18-year-old winger provided the decisive pass to Undav for the Mannschaft's third goal, after which he explained where his confidence comes from.
“I just love to play, I don't care about anything else. I give my best on the pitch, I also have some skills and that's about it,” explained the player making his second Nationalmannschaft appearance.
Nagelsmann, in turn, praised him: “He is a player who can play in various positions and who it will be very valuable to usAnd teammate Joshua Kimmich added: “He has that carefree attitude at this age. He's got to make the most of this phase of his career, he's just got to go out there and have fun.”
