A team of doctors from the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, led by cardiac surgeon, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Honored Doctor of Ukraine Boris Todurov, held consultations for patients and lectures for medical colleagues in Kamensky. The community entered into a memorandum of cooperation with the institute, city mayor Andrei Bilousov said on Facebook.
“The delegation included cardiac surgeons, arrhythmologists and ultrasound diagnostic specialists. They conducted consultations and examinations of community residents, helping to determine further treatment tactics and, if necessary, refer them to a specialized medical institution,” the mayor noted.
Bilousov said that the institute’s specialists held professional lectures for Kamensky’s medical workers and discussed approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
“An important result of the visit was also the signing of memorandums of cooperation between the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Kamensk city territorial community, as well as with our Primary Health Care Center No. 3. We have been successfully cooperating with the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for several years now. The document opens up new opportunities for interaction, exchange of experience and prompt referral of patients to the leading cardiac surgery center in the country,” the city mayor said in a statement.
