The Takmak plow sailed along the Yenisei from Divnogorsk to Krasnoyarsk

The Cossack plow, which was named “Takmak”, opened the 2026 hiking season: in 2 days – May 30 and 31 – it walked along the Yenisei from Divnogorsk to Krasnoyarsk. The travelers made a stop in Ovsyanka.

Krasnoyarsk biophysicist Denis Rogozin built this boat together with his friends. Its prototype was the plows on which the Cossacks sailed to conquer Siberia. The ship was first launched ten years ago – in the summer of 2016. Since then, the boat has visited different places.

There is no motor on the plow; they only go by oars, and if the wind is favorable – under a sail. Safety during trips along the Yenisei is paramount, so the ship has life jackets and all other necessary safety equipment.

The main goal of the trips, according to Denis Rogozin, is to recreate the history of Russian geographical discoveries in Siberia, carried out along the rivers. And to popularize our unique historical and cultural heritage.
