Mariupol defender Serhii received an apartment from Rinat Akhmetov.
Housing is provided under the “Home” program, which is implemented by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation together with “Heart of Azovstal”.
Serhiy defended Mariupol from the first days of the invasion. Together with his brothers, he defended the city on Azovstal. He was captured in May 2022 and stayed there until December 30, 2024. The conditions of detention seriously worsened his health.
After returning to Ukraine, Serhii received comprehensive medical care under the “Health” program from “Heart of Azovstal”. He was operated on and helped to restore his sight. Now the defender has received another important support – his own apartment. This is a comfortable home where he can recover.
“This is the place where you can feel at home. There is always a place to return to,” says Serhiy.
Over the past three years, under the “Home” program, defenders of Mariupol have already received more than 320 apartments from Rinat Akhmetov.
