The defense of Sergei Natarov and his son Anton filed an appeal against the court verdict, said lawyer Alexander Khropot.

On May 12, a judge of the Kirovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk sentenced the current vice-speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Natarov, his son Anton and other defendants to various terms, assigning Sergei Natarov and his son 14 years in prison out of a possible 15.
“The verdict consists of 399 pages, most of which are a rewritten text of the accusation compiled by the investigative authorities. An assessment of the defense's arguments, including numerous motions and statements of the defense in fact, has not been given, no analysis has been made. A study of the verdict has established that it is in fact a duplicate of the indictment, which retains numerous grammatical and punctuation errors by the investigator. There is no need to say that the defense’s arguments were rejected in any way with reasons, since the text of the court decision does not contain references to this,” explained lawyer Alexander Khropot.
In the future, as the defense studies the verdict, it will supplement the appeal and present reasons for the illegality of the sentence.
