Residents of Yeniseisk achieved major repairs of broken roads in a military town

May 29 15:00

In Yeniseisk, they began to solve a long-standing problem with the condition of roads in a military town. After the intervention of the prosecutor's office, the municipality signed a contract for major repairs.

Residents told the prosecutor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Roman Tyutyunik, about the poor condition of the roads during a personal reception of citizens in March 2025. According to people, in some areas there was practically no asphalt, and the roadway was covered with holes and potholes.

After the appeal, the prosecutor's office organized an inspection of compliance with road safety requirements on the territory of the military camp.

“The inspection confirmed: there really are violations, and serious ones. In fact, the roadway there has long required not cosmetic repairs, but complete restoration,” the press service of the supervisory agency reported.

The prosecutor's office submitted a proposal to the administration, but it was not possible to quickly begin repairs due to lack of funding. Then the department filed a lawsuit to carry out major road repairs.

The court supported the demands of the prosecutor's office. Currently, the municipal district has already signed a contract for major repairs. The contractor must complete the work by July 31, 2026.

The implementation of the decision remains under the control of the prosecutor's office.
