Gertmonas' new team, Servette FC, performed in the play-out of the Swiss championship and finished 2nd in this phase, i.e. 8th position in the overall ranking. Edvinas Gertmonas was one of the most appreciated goalkeepers in the Superliga in the recently concluded season. Cluj University had an excellent run, finishing in 2nd place in the championship and playing in the final of the Romanian Betano Cup, and the Lithuanian goalkeeper had an important role in this performance.
In the current season, the 29-year-old goalkeeper has scored 28 matches, conceded 20 goals and managed 13 games without conceding a goal. In total, Edvinas Gertmonas collected 74 matches for Cluj University, of which 30 without conceding a goal.
The goalkeeper is quoted by the specialized website Transfermarkt at 1.4 million euros. After his departure, Cluj University still has Ștefan Lefter (21 years old) and Tudor Coșa (17 years old) in the team.
