The Red Book humpback whale Stanislav was RESCUE!!! The final operation to rescue the giant in the Murmansk region lasted four hours. Rescuers threw a hook with a knife and removed the net.
On June 5, tourists noticed him. The poor fellow was entangled in a fishing net and was swimming in shackles of fishing gear that dug into his flesh. Marine mammal specialists from Sakhalin, together with Rosprirodnadzor, were preparing for a very difficult rescue operation. Those who cared attracted sponsors, equipment and social activists – for good reason. Today everything worked out.
