A married couple will be tried in Krasnoyarsk for helping scammers

In Krasnoyarsk, a criminal investigation has been completed against a married couple accused of aiding and abetting fraudsters. This was reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
In March, a 91-year-old woman contacted the police. She said that unknown people stole 215 thousand rubles from her under the pretext that her friend allegedly got into an accident. The police carried out searches and detained the spouses, who are suspected of participating in a series of frauds against the elderly.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the couple found a part-time job in one of the instant messengers and agreed to participate in the criminal scheme. A woman born in 1992 took money from the victims, and her husband, born in 1994, watched the situation. For their work, the spouses kept 10% of the amounts received for themselves, the rest of the money was transferred to the employer.
It was previously established that they managed to visit four addresses. The couple received about 200 thousand rubles for participating in the scheme. They spent part of the money on new smartphones, a TV, a sofa and groceries.
The criminal case was investigated under the article of fraud. The materials were submitted to the court.
