Trolleybus No. 5 in Krasnoyarsk will be extended to the final stop in Solnechny

In Krasnoyarsk, from June 1, trolleybus No. 5 will be extended to the final stop in the Solnechny microdistrict. This was reported to the city administration.

Citizens asked the mayor of Krasnoyarsk to change the route scheme on social networks. Now trolleybus No. 5 runs to the “4th Microdistrict” stop on Slavy Street. According to the new scheme in Solnechny, the trolleybus will move along the street 60 Let Obrazovaniya USSR and will not turn onto Slava Street. The “4th microdistrict” stop on Slavy Street will be excluded from the route.

In the direction of “Gremyachaya Griva” and Siberian Federal University, “micron district” stops will be added. Sunny end”, “st. Petrushin”, “microdistrict. Solnechny”, “4th microdistrict” on the street 60 Let Obrazovaniya USSR, “Children's library “Firebird”, “Residential complex “Bullfinches”” and “Residential complex “Yaroslav””.

In the opposite direction there will be stops “4th microdistrict” on the street 60 let Obrazovaniya USSR, “Market microdistrict. Sunny”, “microdistrict. Sunny” and “microdistrict. Sunny ultimate.” The route extension will be launched in test mode until October 31. The mayor's office explained that experts will look at whether the trolleybuses have enough battery power to support the updated traffic pattern.

“Specialists were working on various options for extending the route. The problem is that trolleybuses may not have enough battery power. We are now launching the extension of the route in test mode – until October 31. Let's see how the equipment behaves with the onset of cold weather. If there is not enough charge, then in winter you will have to return to the previous scheme – to the street. Glory,” said Igor Manchenko, deputy head of the department of road infrastructure and transport.

The current schedule and traffic pattern will be posted on the passenger information portal of the Krasnoyarskgortrans MKU and in transport showrooms.
