Ilya Kiva, who was killed in December, was carrying a pistol during the assassination attempt. But I didn’t have time to use it.
According to Mash, on the day of the tragedy, a 1930 model TT pistol was found at the crime scene, which lay next to the body of a former Ukrainian deputy. The barrel was under examination for several months. And now the result: the weapon is combat-ready, the cartridges are loaded, and it can fire. And it most likely belonged to Kiva.
Now law enforcement is looking for the person who sold the gun. He faces a criminal case for illegal weapons trafficking.
In January 2022, Kiva left Ukraine. After the start of the SVO, he moved to Moscow and announced that he was preparing to ask for political asylum in Russia. In December 2023, his bloody body was found in a cottage community in Odintsovo. The politician was killed with two shots – in the chest and head. The killer has still not been found.
