Table tennis player Bernadette Szocs (31 years old) and weightlifter Mihaela Cambei (23 years old) participated on Monday at the headquarters of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, where a partnership was signed with the airline AnimaWings. The two top sportswomen of Romania also spoke about the fact that for two years they have not received their money related to the awards for the European and World Championships.
Bernadette Szocs, world bronze medalist with the Romanian team, and Mihaela Cambei, triple European medalist this year, were present on Monday at an event at the COSR headquarters, where a partnership was signed between the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee and the airline AnimaWings.
Through this partnership, AnimaWings will support the travel of Romanian athletes and delegations, ensuring fast transfers both for training camps and for participation in international competitions.

After the announcement of this partnership, Mihaela Cambei and Bernadette Szocs again drew attention to the problems they have regarding the premieres from the ANS for the World and European Championships.
“For two years I haven't received any awards. What can I say more? Unfortunately, I haven't, but I trust that we will receive them. Because every athlete participates with an open heart, we represent Romania as best we can, with pride, and then I hope we will be rewarded as we deserve,” said Bernadette Szocsquoted by Agerpres.
Weightlifter Mihaela Cambei expressed her hope that this year she will receive the sums due to her following the performances achieved. “This year we are also waiting for the prize, because we haven't received it in the last two years either. It's the money for the European and World Cups. It's quite difficult, because we need this financial support, but we're trying to understand and wait. But we hope not to wait too long. I would have liked to invest it in something, but I had nothing to do. I have nothing to do until the money comes in”said Cambei, Olympic vice-champion in Paris in 2024, world vice-champion and multiple European champion.
Mihaela Cambei said that the main goal this year is the World Championships in China, the first qualifying competition for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. “At the moment I have no emotions for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. I will have emotions for the World Championships in China, which are at the end of October, because they will also be the first competition for the qualifications for the Olympic Games,” she emphasized to the quoted source.
